We respect the privacy of your data and are committed to being transparent about how we handle it.
We are Reviva Softworks Ltd, a UK company. We created and operate the SnoreLab mobile app (referred to as SnoreLab or the app). Our address is at 10c Printing House Yard, Hackney Road, London, United Kingdom, E2 7PR and we can be contacted at support@snorelab.com.
This Privacy Notice details how we collect, use, store, transfer and disclose data obtained from our interactions with you, including your use of SnoreLab. Here, we also highlight the choices you can make about how your data is managed, including revoking your consent.
We have designed SnoreLab to collect minimal personal data and to keep you in control. The table below describes the data we collect from you as a user of the app, and how we collect it.
Please also note the following, regarding the data we collect:
Legacy users: if you downloaded the app before 1 July 2025 and have not subscribed to Cloud Backup before that date, the only data we collect and process is your UUID, country location, app metrics, technical data and usage data.If you create a SnoreLab user account we will start collecting all the other information listed above. You need to create a user account to get Cloud Backup, while for other upgrades it is up to you.
Email address: We will collect your email address only if you choose to create a SnoreLab user account. A SnoreLab user account allows you to restore your app data (such as age, weight, sex and your snoring stats) on other devices. We also collect your email address if you agree to receive email communications from us.
This table sets out how we use the data we collect. We are required by law to tell you what the legal basis for each use is, so we’ve done that too.
* Legal basis definitions:
Performance of contract means the performance of our contractual promise to make the app available to you.
Legitimate interest means conducting our business so we can give customers a great product experience.
Consent means express consent (usually through choices you make in the app).
Please note the following in relation to how we use your data:
Audio recordings: SnoreLab does not automatically collect or store audio recordings made with the app. If you want to be able to recover your history if you lose or change your device, you need to create a SnoreLab account (or sign up to Cloud Backup if you are a legacy user). When you do so, you can opt to store audio recordings or store only your session history (without the audio recordings).
Privacy of audio recordings: Audio recordings are encrypted using a unique key for each user before being transferred and stored on our server, providing a high level of privacy protection. For further privacy protection, we cannot use your UUID to access snoring stats specific to you.
Optional access to recordings: With a view to improving our technologies, we may occasionally ask your permission to collect a limited set of your audio recordings. You can decline. We cannot listen to your audio recordings (even if you sign up to Cloud Backup) unless you have sent us audios yourself (for research or queries). If you grant us access to your audio recordings, we will take all necessary steps to ensure the privacy of this data in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
If you share your recordings with others: If you choose to share or transmit your recordings via non-private platforms such as social media or email, or share them with medical professionals, your recordings fall outside of our control and we are not liable for any unauthorized handling or use of those recordings.
Communications from SnoreLab: If you give us permission, we will email you newsletters or send push notifications which may include information about our other Reviva apps and third party product recommendations and offers. We will only send you these communications if you have opted in via the app. You may opt out at any time, through the settings in the app.
Personalisation and targeted content within the app: If you give us permission, we may personalise the content within the app based on your data (including your sex, age, weight, height and inferred BMI) and may include third party information and product recommendations. We will only do this if you have opted in via the app. You may opt out at any time, through the settings in the app.
Analytics and news about SnoreLab: for example, we may research how snoring intensity varies based on gender or BMI or to evaluate the effectiveness of snoring remedies. The results of this research may be published within the app or the press. We will not include any data that could personally identify you.
We work with reputable, established third party partners who provide us with analytics, cloud and customer management platform services. We only provide these third parties with access to information that is necessary to perform services for us in connection with the SnoreLab app or to comply with the law. We do not give these third parties permission to use this information for any other purpose except to provide services in connection with the SnoreLab app.
We also make sure that our contracts with our partners will require them to protect your data in a manner that is consistent with the Privacy Notice.
We disclose your personal data to the following technology platforms:
Please also note the following, regarding disclosure of data:
We will not share your data: Except as described in this section, we will not disclose or sell any of your personal data to third parties, unless you have given us explicit consent to do so.
Aggregated data: We may publish aggregated, anonymized statistics and insights which cannot be used to identify you, within the app, on our website, our various social media platforms or in publications.
Special circumstances: We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:
We will always retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary. We take into account legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting requirements, and good management practices.
In determining the retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, and the risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure. We will also consider the purposes for which we process your data and whether we can achieve them by other means.
We will process your data for as long as you are a registered user of the app.
If you unsubscribe or delete your user account, we will keep your data for another 12 months, in case you choose to resubscribe, and for legal reasons.
We also have a rolling data deletion policy for inactive users: if you stop using the app and you don’t have an active subscription (because you never signed up, or we terminated your use of the app or you cancelled your subscription), we will anonymise all your personal data (if any) within 12 months after your last activity. If you do have an active subscription, but haven’t used the app for a while, we won’t delete your data in case you want to start using the app again.
Anonymous information and aggregated information, neither of which identifies you personally, may be stored indefinitely for research and analytics purposes.
You may also delete your SnoreLab account including session and audio backup and demographic information, via the profile settings or by directly requesting deletion from us.
Personal data that you input into SnoreLab will be visible in the app interface including the profile screen and in the records that you create with the app. You can also ask us what personal data we have about you by contacting us on support@snorelab.com.
You can modify, correct, delete and update your personal data and permissions in the app profile settings. Once deleted, your personal data including your account details, snoring stats and audio recordings cannot be reinstated. Please note that content you have shared with others, for example medical professionals, via the app or otherwise, may remain visible after you have deleted your account.
You can minimise or suspend the processing of your personal data, by removing permissions in the app settings, deleting your data via the app settings, or by deleting the app. If you have done all that, and in addition want us to delete all your personal data without retention periods, contact us at support@snorelab.com. You can also contact support if you want us to hold data for longer than the stated retention periods (for example to exercise or defend a legal claim).
You can download your data to a .csv file via the app at any time (provided you still have the app on your device or a subscription to Cloud Backup). In addition, you can share your snoring results to medical professionals (by export all your data as a .csv file or sending individual session reports by email). Further sharing functionality may be added in the future.
You may object to processing of your personal data where we process it based on legitimate interest. We will assess your objection and tell you whether we have any legitimate grounds or legal justification for continued processing.
You may withdraw consent at any time, if you have opted in to any services or targeted communications. This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.
You have the right to make a complaint to your local data protection authority.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We might update it due to changes to our services or changes in the law. We will notify you of changes via the app. If we have your email address, we will notify you of changes via email also.
Your continued use of SnoreLab after any changes made to the Privacy Notice constitutes your acceptance of the Privacy Notice. If you object to any changes to this Privacy Notice you should stop using SnoreLab.
